My After School Program/ VHAS (Virginia Highlands After School) is excited to be the provider of extracurricular programs for Virginia Highlands Elementary (VHE)! We are super excited to be on campus again on Virginia Avenue!

VHAS offers a variety of extracurricular options for your child each afternoon. VHAS extracurricular programs, also known as "VHAS EXTRAS", are offered to all currently enrolled VHE students in grades K-5; some classes are banded by grade. Students can participate even if they are not enrolled in the VHAS after care program. VHAS EXTRAS Extras take place on the VHE school grounds. MASP does not offer extracurricular programs to Pre-K students.

Registration for extracurricular programs takes place here on our website. Registration for Fall semester opens the second Saturday in August at 9AM and for the Winter-Spring semester, registration opens the second Saturday in December at 9AM.

It is strongly suggested that you read the detailed, helpful answers to Frequently Asked Questions and details about Extras course registration information under the EXTRACURRICULAR PROGRAMS here:  https://myafterschoolprogram.com/extracurricular-programs

Students transition to us at the end of the school day for all first hour extracurricular programs. If a child attends at 2nd hour extracurricular program, they must either be brought back to the school at the start of that class by a parent or caregiver, transition from a 1st hour extracurricular program, if enrolled, or transition from the VHAS aftercare program, if enrolled. Students may not leave campus on their own and return on their own for the start of a second hour extracurricular class. No student may be left on campus in the time after school has dismissed until the second hour extracurricular program begins. This is an APS and VHAS EXTRAS aftercare policy.
