Welcome to Mary Lin LEEP/Extras programs!

We are excited to be the host and coordinator of extracurricular LEEP/Extras programs at Mary Lin!

Extracurricular Programs offered at Mary Lin include a variety of enrichment options for your child each afternoon. Mary Lin After School (MLAS) extracurricular programs, formerly known as LEEP, are offered to all currently enrolled Mary Lin students in grades K-5; some classes are banded by grade. Mary Lin students can participate even if they are enrolled in the aftercare program through iKids https://ikidspca.com/

Registration for extracurricular programs takes place here on our website. Fall registration for extracurriculars opens the second Saturday in August at 9AM and for the Winter-Spring semester, it opens the first Saturday in December.

Prior to registration opening, tentative course catalogue PREVIEWS as .pdf documents will be available back on our homepage (click here for redirect back to homepage: https://myafterschoolprogram.com/ ) a month before registration opens, halfway down the homepage. DO NOT login to the parent portal to access the preview documents; no courses show in the parent portal until registration opens.

It is strongly suggested that you read the detailed, helpful answers to Frequently Asked Questions and details about Extras COURSES registration information in the PARENT PORTAL under the EXTRACURRICULAR PROGRAMS tab https://myafterschoolprogram.com/extracurricular-programs at top of our home page. All registrations take place here on our website.

Each course offered has a fee set based on vendor rate and number of weeks in the session. Each course offered has a fee set based on vendor rate and number of weeks in the session. Fall semester classes begin the first full week after Labor Day and classes for the Winter-Spring semester begin the first full week after the MLK holiday. We follow the APS calendar and all emergency dismissal class cancellations. Parents can always confirm child schedules by logging into their parent portal account. We follow the APS calendar and all emergency dismissal class cancellations.

Students transition to their MLAS Extras class at the end of the school day for all first hour extracurricular programs. If a child attends at 2nd hour extracurricular program, they must either be brought back to the school at that start of that class by a parent or caregiver, transition from a 1st hour extracurricular program, if enrolled, or transition from Ikids on site aftercare program, if enrolled. No student may be left on campus in the time after school has dismissed until the second hour extracurricular program begins. It is the responsibility of the parent to make sure that the child has care in the hour between school dismissal and the time the hour 2 class begins.  This is a MASP policy.

Refunds will be made if requested at a rate of class fee minus $50 once the online registration has been completed up until the second class for that program has been completed. After that, no refunds will be made.

Parents requesting class change are subject to a $10 class change fee for each class change made. Choose classes carefully.

More details regarding logistics- snacks and notes to classroom teachers will be available in a general Parent Welcome Letter that will be posted on our website homepage and emailed to parents the Friday before classes begin.

MASP does not provide any Extras classes or instructors for these classes. All classes are selected and provided by independent contractors. All program providers have been provided general policies, procedures, registration portal and school system background check requirements for all instructors on site. Additionally, all providers are required to go through the exemption process with State of Georgia, Bright From the Start and complete the Atlanta Public Schools background check with a "clear" determination.
